SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

  On January 1, 2017 the Vermont State Police, St. Albans Barracks received a

report of a residential burglary on Sand Hill Road in the town of Georgia, VT. 

Vermont State Police responded to the victim's residence and was advised a large

some of money (Coins, American Currency) was stolen from the residence, the

estimated amount stolen was $2,000.00.  Evidence recovered from the scene

included fingerprints lifted from an exterior window.  As a result of the

subsequent investigation Edward A. Tolp was identified as a person of interest.

  The Vermont Forensic Laboratory performed a comparison of the fingerprints

lifted from the scene of the crime to Tolp's fingerprints.  The Vermont Forensic

Laboratory identified the fingerprints lifted at the scene to be Tolp's.

  Based on the physical evidence gathered and circumstances surrounding this

case the State Police determined Tolp was responsible for burglarizing the

victim's residence.  The stolen money was not recovered.  Tolp was issued a

Citation to appear before the Franklin County Superior Court on 02/03/17 at 1100

hours to answer the charge of Burglary.
