SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On February 4, 2017 at approximately 1612 hours, State Police were notified of a one-vehicle rollover on I-89 northbound near mile marker 105. There was also information given that the operator was out in the road and CPR was in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined that the vehicle involved was a Chevy Monte Carlo operated by Adam Desrochers (age 35) from Swanton, VT.

The vehicle had been heading northbound in the passing lane, left the roadway, and traveled in the snow for a significant distance before striking the guardrail. The vehicle then flipped over the guardrail and ended up back on I-89 after rolling multiple times. Desrochers, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.

At this point, speed is being considered a factor in the crash, yet the investigation is still ongoing.
