SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 02-17-17, at approximately 1706 hours, State Police observed a vehicle traveling at 98 MPH north on Interstate 89, near mile marker 120, Swanton.  The vehicle continued to accelerate to 110 MPH while the Trooper was trying to catch the vehicle.  The vehicle finally stopped near mile marker 124, Highgate.  The operator of the vehicle was identified as Kan-Ju Tien.  Tien was subsequently placed into custody and transported to the St. Albans Barracks for processing.  Tien was released on a citation to appear in the Franklin County Court on March 27th, 2017 for Careless & Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
