SUMMARY OF CRASH:  On the above date and time both vehicles involved in this crash were traveling in the south bound lanes of travel during a major snow event.  Vehicle #2 is a State of Vermont, Agency of Transportation snow plow truck that was being driven by Operator #2 PIERPONT.  Vehicle #2 was engaged in actively plowing the left lane of travel in the area of mile marker 23, just north of Exit 3 and was slowing to take a u-turn to plow the north bound side of the interstate when Vehicle #1 approached at a high rate of speed, also traveling in the left lane.  Operator #1 ROSS could not slow in time to avoid Vehicle #2 and attempted to veer left into the median, crossing through the u-turn Vehicle #2 was turning left into, and struck the edge of a wing plow on the left side of Vehicle #2.  Vehicle #1 then continued through the u-turn and struck a frozen snowbank on the south side of the u-turn, coming to rest on top of the snowbank.  Vehicle #1 sustained damage to both the front and rear end and was towed from the scene.  There was no damage to Vehicle #2.  There were no injuries reported with crash.
