SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On February 10, 2017, at 0125 hours, the Vermont State Police were notified of a single car crash in Barnet, on Interstate 91, near mile marker 123. Upon arrival the vehicle was on the shoulder of the northbound lane facing south. Investigation revealed Vehicle 1, heading north on Interstate 91 attempted to avoid colliding with a ladder in the roadway and hit the guardrail on the east side of the roadway, and crossed both lanes of travel hitting the west guardrail which caused her vehicle to spin around before coming to rest facing south.

Gates failed to maintain her lane of travel due to attempting to avoid a ladder in the roadway.
There were no injuries. Vehicle 1 sustained major damage to its front end. Airbags were not deployed and Gates was wearing her seatbelt.
