SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On Wednesday, February 2, 2017, at approximately 2315 hours, members of the Vermont State Police were advised of an active burglary at the Bear Mountain Lodge in Killington, Vermont. Responding Troopers were advised that Censor Security had located two individuals inside of the lodge after hours attempting to steal food and beverages. Troopers arrived on scene shortly thereafter and located the two males involved with Censor Security personnel.  

 

The males involved were identified as Michael Parie, age 20, of Rutland, Vermont, and James Cornell, age 26, transient. Parie and Cornell had entered the building after its closing to the general public, knowingly without the license or privilege to do so, with the intent to commit a petit larceny. It was furthermore found that Parie was in violation of Conditions of Release, and was additionally further charged with such.

 

Parie and Cornell were taken into custody and transported to the Marble Valley Correctional Center for lack of $10,000 bail.
