SUMMARY OF CRASH:  The Vermont State Police are investigating a two car, head-on crash that occurred on VT Route 117 in the Town of Jericho.  33 year old Aubrey Moon of Williston Vermont was operating a silver, 2001, Ford Taurus and traveling westbound on VT-117.  Moon advised that she was distracted while adjusting the heat and crossed the center line.  Moon’s vehicle struck a gray, 2016, Ford F-150 head on operated by Morgan Adams of Waterbury Vermont who was traveling eastbound. Both vehicles are considered a total loss as a result of this head-on collision.  Neither speed nor impairment were contributing factors in the collision. Both Moon and Adams were transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center for further evaluation of their injuries. The Vermont State Police were assisted at the scene by the Richmond Police Department, Underhill-Jericho Fire Department, Essex and Williston EMS and the Vermont Agency of Transportation.  VT-117 was closed for approximately one hour at the scene of the crash.  Traffic was re-routed along alternate routes during this time. This crash remains under investigation.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Corporal Andrew Leise at 802-878-7111.
