SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On 02/24/2017, Vermont State Police conducted a residential Search Warrant in the Town of Ferrisburgh, VT.  Melissa Sird and Patrick Cota were placed under arrest for Violations of Conditions of Release. Through investigation it was determined Sird and Cota were also in possession of stolen property and possession of controlled substances. Furthermore, investigation revealed that Sird was in prohibited possession of a firearm. Sird and Cota were transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing. Sird and Cota were released on conditions and ordered to appear in Addison District Court on 2/27/2017 to both answer to the charges of Violation of Conditions of Release, Possession of Stolen Property, and Possession of Controlled Substances. Sird will also be answering to the charge of Prohibited Possession of a Firearm.
