VIOLATION: Retail Theft

 

ACCUSED: Tiffany Covey

AGE: 25

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Rutland Town, VT

 

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On February, at approximately 1400 hours, members of the Vermont State Police responded to a report of retail theft from the Hannaford’s Supermarket located on US Route 7, Rutland Town, Vermont. The complainant advised a female had taken a number of items past the point of sale without an attempt to purchase them. When the subject was confronted outside of the store, she fled on foot. A description of the female was provided to area law enforcement. At approximately 1410 hours, members of the Rutland City Police Department located a female matching the description provided. The female was identified as Tiffany Covey. Covey was subsequently taken into custody, cited, and released to appear at the Vermont Superior Court, Rutland Criminal Division on March 13, 2017.
