LOCATION: US Route 2 Near North Danville Road in the town of St. Johnsbury, VT.
VIOLATION: DUI

ACCUSED: Russell Atkinson

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Montpelier, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 2/26/2017, at approximately 1907 hours, Vermont State
Police initiated a traffic stop on Russell Atkinson (59). Subsequent
investigation revealed that Atkinson was under the influence of alcohol while
operating a motor vehicle. Atkinson refused to give a preliminary breath test
(PBT). Atkinson was arrested for DUI and brought to the Northeast Regional Correctional Complex for detox.
