SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On February 5, 2017 while on routine patrol Vermont State Police out of the Williston Barracks stopped a vehicle for a speeding violation on I-89 northbound near Exit 12. The operator, 28-year-old James Bowe III of New York, exhibited signs of impairment and was asked to perform Standard Field Sobriety Exercises. Bowe exhibited signs of impairment.  Bowe was asked to provide a preliminary breath test which yielded a .104% BAC. Bowe was subsequently taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and transported to the Vermont State Police Williston Barracks for processing. He was released on a citation to appear in Chittenden County Court to answer to the charge of DUI.
