SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

           

            On 2/3/17, at approximately 0149 hours, while on patrol in the town of Derby I stopped a vehicle for a motor vehicle violation, failure to stop at a clearly posted stop sign. I activated my blue emergency lights to conduct a traffic stop. The operator identified himself as Sylvain Roy of Newport, VT. While speaking with Roy I detected the odor of intoxicants. Roy performed field sobriety exercises and provided a preliminary breath test (PBT) with a result of .160%.
