SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On February 13, 2017 at approximately 1738 hours Vermont State Police were notified of a missing snowboarder at Stowe Mountain Resort. Rescue crews responded and after several hours of searching were able to locate the snowboarder off trail in thick woods. He was transported to University of Vermont Medical Center for evaluation. Vermont State Police Search and Rescue were assisted by Stowe Mountain Rescue, Waterbury Backcountry Rescue, Colchester Technical Rescue, Stowe Police Department, Mt. Mansfield Ski Patrol, and Stowe Rescue.
