SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On January 8, 2017, at 1224 hours, the Vermont State Police were notified of a two car crash in the town of Walden, VT on Stannard Mountain road near Hutchins Farm road. Upon arrival, both operators and vehicles were present.  Investigation revealed Vehicle 1, travelling east on Stannard Mountain Road side swiped vehicle two which was travelling west. It was determined that vehicle 1 was travelling too fast for conditions, a violation of Title 23 VSA 1081 (a), resulting in Vehicles one failure to maintain its lane of travel and causing vehicle 1 to sideswipe vehicle 2. There were no injuries. Vehicle 1 sustained moderate damage to its front drivers side and driver’s side door. Vehicle 2 sustained minor damage to its front drivers side headlight and moderate damage to its front drivers side wheel. Roy was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions.
