LOCATION: Interstate 89, MM69 Southbound

VIOLATION: Driving with a criminally suspended license (5th offense)

 

ACCUSED: Kareem G. Louard                                               

AGE: 25

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Waterbury, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On January 7, 2017 at approximately 1426 hours VSP Williston Troopers were conducting motor vehicle enforcement work on I89 in the Town of Bolton near mile marker 69. At that time Troopers observed a vehicle traveling south on I89 at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was subsequently

clocked on radar at 99 mph in a posted 65 mph zone. The operator identified as Kareem G. Louard 25 y/o of Waterbury VT was found to be criminally suspended in the state of Vermont with 4 prior criminal suspension convictions.

 

Louard was taken into custody and transported to the Williston State Police Barracks for booking. Louard will be required to appear in Chittenden District

Court on February 21, 2017 to answer to the above DLSC charge. Louard was also issued a VCVC pursuant to Title 23 VSA Section 1004 99/65 zone, $360.00 and 2 points. Richmond Police Department assisted VSP at the location of the stop. Troopers remind citizens to drive at safe speeds to prevent serious bodily injury and fatal collisions.
