SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On January 30th 2017, at 1903 hours a member of the Vermont State Police stopped Benjamin Nicolas on Interstate 89 northbound in the town of Swanton due to a motor vehicle violation. Upon contacting Nicolas, it was suspected he was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Subsequent investigation revealed that Nicolas was under the influence of alcohol at the time of operation. Nicolas was placed under arrest and brought to the St. Albans State Police Barracks for processing. Nicolas was charged with DUI #2, and cited to appear in Franklin Superior Court on February 27th 2017 in order to face said charge.
