SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On December 31, 2016 at approximately 13:48 hours the Vermont State Police investigated a two vehicle collision on Vermont Route 74 East in the Town of Shoreham.  Investigation revealed that operator #2, Arredondo, had been travelling north bound on VT RT 74. Arredondo had attempted to turn vehicle #2 around and travel south bound. Arredondo had stopped vehicle #2 in the north bound lane in an attempt to turn the vehicle around. Operator #1, Bougor, had been travelling north bound at approximately 50 MPH over the crest of a hill on VT RT 74. Bougor failed to stop in time to avoid colliding into the rear of vehicle #2. The Vermont State Police were assisted on scene by Middlebury Rescue and Shoreham Fire Department. Operator #1 was transported to Porter Hospital for minor injuries and observation. A passenger in vehicle #1 was also transported to Porter Hospital for minor injuries and observation. All people involved had been wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
