SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On December 4, 2016, the Vermont State Police along with the Bristol Police Department conducted a directed Patrol on Plank Road in the Town of New Haven. Due to increased car break-ins, the Vermont State Police conducted concentrated patrols at trail head parking areas in Addison County to try and stop car break ins. The Vermont State Police attempted to initiate a motor vehicle stop on the accused. The accused had a license plate not assigned to the vehicle and a small child improperly seat belted in the passenger front seat. The accused failed to stop the motor vehicle when instructed to do so and drove in a careless and negligent manner. The accused had operated the motor vehicle, in violation of active existing conditions set by the court. Subsequent investigation revealed that the accused had been in possession of stolen property.

The accused arrived at the New Haven Barracks on 01/03/2017. The accused was processed at the New Haven Barracks and lodged at the Chittenden County Correctional Facility. The accused was released on bail and cited to appear at the Addison County Court, Criminal Division, on 01/04/2017 at approximately 12:30 hours to answer to the charges.
