VIOLATION: Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Cocaine

 

ACCUSED: Adam Lane

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Southwick, MA

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On January 16, 2017 during regular evening commuter hours Troopers were conducting routine patrol on I-89 near Exit 12 in Williston. At approximately 5:09pm a vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. Subsequent investigation revealed the operator and two occupants were all under the age of 21 and all in possession of marijuana and alcohol. The operator and one passenger face civil penalties for these offenses. The other passenger, identified as 19 year-old Adam Lane of Southwick, MA was found to be in possession of a felony amount of marijuana as well as a felony amounts of both rock and powdered cocaine. Lane was taken into custody and processed at the Vermont State Police – Williston barracks. He was then transported to Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility where he was lodged on $5,000 bail.
