DUI in Derby

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 01/26/17 at approximately 1730 hours, VSP-Derby Troopers were dispatched to a report of an intoxicated operator who had left his residence by vehicle, heading towards Walmart.  After checking the area, the vehicle and operator, William Fishell, were located in the Walmart parking lot.

Subsequent investigation revealed Fishell had operated a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor.  A PBT indicated a BAC of 0.272.  Orleans County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted at the scene.

Fishell was placed under arrest and transported the VSP-Derby Barracks.  He was processed and transferred to the Northern State Correctional Facility as an incapacitated person.
