VIOLATION: First Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault, a violation of Title 13,
V.S.A. Section 1043; Domestic Assault, a violation of Title 13, V.S.A. Section
1042; Interfering With Access To Emergency Services, a violation of Title 13,
V.S.A. Section 1031; and Resisting Arrest, a violation of Title 13, V.S.A.
Section 3017.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On January 16, 2017 at approximately 2138 hours the Vermont
State Police received a report of a domestic assault that occurred on Coits Gore
Road in Bakersfield, Vermont. Troopers responded and made contact with the
offender, Tyler Blanchard (age 35) of Bakersfield. Investigation revealed that
Blanchard had committed the offenses of aggravated domestic assault, domestic
assault, and interference with access to emergency services. Blanchard was
ultimately placed under arrest and due to his actions during the arrest, he was
also charged with resisting arrest. Blanchard was transported to the Northwest
Medical Center upon request. Upon release, he was transported to VSP St. Albans
barracks for fingerprinting and processing. Blanchard was ultimately lodged at
the Northwest State Correctional Facility.
