SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

                On January 25, 2017 VSP St. Albans received a call from the Highgate Village Market located at 3108 RT 78 in Highgate, VT regarding someone using a counterfeit $100.00 bill on the night of January 24, 2017.
During further investigation, it was learned that Swanton Police Department and St. Albans Police Departments also had similar incidents. During this investigation, it was learned that Peter Gagnon (20) of St. Albans, VT used the fake $100.00 bill to purchase $20.00 in gas at the Highgate Village Market.

                On January 27, 2017, Peter Gagnon was arrested and given a citation to appear in Franklin County Superior Court on February 21, 2017 for the charge of Uttering forged or counterfeited instruments.
