identified as Eddy Hurlburt and showed signs of impairment. Hurlburt performed

Standard Field Sobriety Exercises and was subsequently taken into custody for

suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

 

Hurlburt was transported to the Williston State Police Barracks for processing.

Hurlburt was released on citation to appear in Chittenden County Superior Court

on May 11, 2017 for DUI-#1.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On the above date and time, State Police responded to the area of 46 18 UD Rte 2, in Marshfield for a report of a two vehicle crash.  Both vehicles were traveling west on US Rte 2.  Vehicle #1 collided with the back of Vehicle #2.  Vehicle #1 left the scene of the crash and was located a short time later.  Chandler admitted to being involved in the crash and was found to be under the influence of alcohol.  His preliminary breath test showed a BAC of .168%.  Chandler was taken into custody and transported to the State Police Barracks in Middlesex.  He was issued a citation for DUI and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.  Chandler is scheduled to appear in Washington County Superior Court  - Criminal Division on 05/11/17.

On 04/22/2017, the Vermont State Police were notified by the Middlebury Police Department of a vehicle that failed to stop when signaled to. Troopers later located the vehicle on Old Jerusalem Rd in the Town of Leicester. Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle, which drove into a nearby field and became stuck.

 

Troopers identified the operator as Brandon Yandow (20) of Middlebury VT. While speaking with Yandow, Troopers detected a moderate odor of intoxicants and observed several signs of impairment. Yandow was screened for driving under the influence (DUI). Yandow provided a breath sample which revealed a BAC of .179%. Yandow was subsequently placed under arrest for DUI, Driving with a criminally suspended license, and reckless endangerment.

 

Yandow was transported to the New Haven Barracks for processing. Yandow was arrested and transported to the Chittenden County Correctional Facility and lodged due to lack of 25,000 bail.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On 4/22/17 at 1452 hours the Vermont State Police responded to a 3 vehicle crash at the intersection of VT RTE 105/VT RTE 111 in the town of Derby. Derby Line Fire Department as well as Derby Line Rescue and Newport Rescue were on scene when we arrived. VT RTE 105 was shut down for a short period of time. Investigation at the scene showed that Operator #1 Magoon had been driving without due regard for others prior to and at the time of the crash. It was reported to police by several other operators that Magoon had nearly struck their vehicles prior to the crash. Magoon was processed for DUI-Drugs. Magoon was also lodged for Gross Negligent Operation with Serious Injury Resulting. This case remains under investigation and awaiting the blood test results.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:  State Police stopped Terry Russ for driving on a criminally suspended license after seeing him operating a 2005 BMW on South Main Street in Bradford. Russ was issued a citation to appear in Orange County Court as well as a traffic citation for use of an electronic device while driving. His vehicle was grounded nearby with instructions to make arrangements to have it driven by a licensed operator.

  At approximately 1334 hours, Troopers observed Russ get dropped off in a parking lot in Fairlee. Another driver left his vehicle in the lot and Russ subsequently drove it away. Russ was then observed traveling 86 miles per hour in a posted 65 mile per hour zone on I-91 south in Thetford. He was stopped again, arrested, and processed at the Bradford Outpost. He was again released on a citation to appear in Orange County Court on 06/07/2017. He was also issued another traffic citation for use of an electronic device while driving as well as a speeding citation.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On the morning of 04-22-17 Vermont State Police received reports of a single vehicle crash and a vandalism to a camp on Laury Road in the Town of Stockbridge.  When Troopers arrived, they determined the crash and the vandalism where related based on physical evidence from the vehicle, crash scene, road surface and evidence at the camp.   The operator of the vehicle was identified as Peter Yetnick of Stockbridge.  Yetnick was issued a citation for Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Negligent Operation and Unlawful Mischief.

The operator of the vehicle was identified as Scharie M. Abdel-Mawgood, 46 of Stowe. Abdel-Mawgood was subsequently arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to the Williston Barracks where she was processed for DUI. Absel-Mawgood was processed and released on a citation to answer to the charge of DUI.

During the early morning hours of April 22, 2017, members of the Vermont State Police were conducting traffic enforcement along US RT 7, Rutland Town, Vermont. At approximately 0020 hours, Troopers stopped a vehicle on US RT 7 for several observed traffic violations. The operator was identified as Rizwan Akbar, 43, of North Clarendon, VT. Further investigation revealed that Akbar was under the influence of intoxicants. Akbar was screened for DUI. Akbar provided a preliminary sample of his breath which was measured as 0.091% BrAC. Akbar was transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in Rutland Town for processing. Akbar was issued a citation to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division on May 15st, 2017 at 0830 hours, to answer to the charge of DUI.

The operator was identified as Devin Danforth of Clarendon, Vermont. While speaking with Troopers, Danforth displayed signs of impairment and was screened for DUI. Danforth provided a preliminary breath test (PBT) resulting in a 0.114 BrAC. Through investigation it was determined that Danforth’s privilege to operator a motor vehicle in the State of Vermont was suspended criminally. Danforth was arrested and released with a citation to appear at a later date.

Marinoff's license was criminally suspended. Marinoff was placed under arrest and transported to the VSP St. Albans barracks for fingerprinting and processing. Marinoff was released on a citation to appear at the Franklin County Superior Court on May 30, 2017 at 1300 hours to answer to the charge of Criminal DLS.
