SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 12/07/16, the Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation was contacted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) and asked to investigate the possible theft of OCSD property, evidence and prescription medication that was facilitated by a civilian employee of OCSD. On 12/08/16 Investigators gathered evidence of at least three burglaries of OCSD property, prescription medication and evidence from the OCSD facility during the month of November 2016. Several suspects were identified to include the civilian employee-Sonya Lowe, her boyfriend Jeremiah Sadler and Kyle Larrabee. Investigators found that Lowe was allowing Sadler and Larrabee access to restricted, secure areas of the OCSD facility and that they in turn removed these items.  Lowe was arrested and charged with aiding in the commission of a felony, possession of stolen property and accessory to Burglary, three counts. Sadler will be charged with three counts of Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property. Larrabee will be charged with one count of Felony Trespassing and Possession of Stolen Property. Both Sadler and Larrebee are in custody after being arrested on outstanding warrants and a vehicle chase that began in Williston yesterday (press release issued previously-VSP Case # 16A106246). Lowe was released on a citation to appear at a later date.

At this time State Police are unable to provide a list of the stolen items as this is still an ongoing investigation.

State Police are still actively investigating this matter and anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the State Police Tip Hotline or Det./Sgt. Eric Albright-Troop-D Westminster-BCI at 802 722 4600.
