MISSING PERSON: Hadil Marzouq                                                                    
AGE: 21 years old

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Bennington, VT

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

                On December 17, 2016 Hadil Marzouq left a residence she was staying at in Bennington, VT.  After not returning home she was reported missing the following day. 

On December 18, 2016 at approximately 1945 hrs, the vehicle Marzouq was operating was located next to VT Rte. 30 at the Dorset Quarry.

Marzouq is described as a white female with brown eyes and long black curly hair.  Marzouq is 5’03” tall and weighs 130 pounds.  She was last seen wearing a large green jacket.  

On December 20, 2016 the Vermont State Police conducted a large land and water search in and around the Dorset Quarry.  Hadil was not located in the area and the search of the quarry will continue on 12-21-16.  Members of the Vermont State Police Search and Rescue Team, Vermont State Police SCUBA team, The New England K-9 Team, The Upper Valley Wilderness Response team, the Vermont K-9 team and Manchester Rescue assisted with this search.   

                On December 21, 2016 the search for Hadil Marzouq continued at the quarry in Dorset, VT.  At approximately 0930 hrs. Divers from the Vermont State Police Scuba team located a female that fit the description of Ms. Marzouq, under the ice at the back of the quarry.  The body was recovered and transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Exam for further investigation. 

                The female found in the quarry in Dorset, VT, on December 21, 2016, has been identified as Hadil Marzouq.  The cause of her death has been ruled a drowning and the manner of death is pending.  Detectives from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation continue to work with the Bennington S/A and the OCME on this investigation.
