Update - Shooting investigation, Poultney


Investigation into this incident continues.  A potential witness being sought has been identified as Jonathan Testa, 21, of Poultney.  Photo of Testa is attached.  Anyone with information as to the location of Testa is asked to contact VSP Rutland. 

Investigation is continuing, additional updates will be released as the investigation progresses. 

Jonathan Testa:


On 12-18-16 at approximately 0130 hours, Troopers from VSP Rutland and the Fair Haven police department responded to a report of an injured adult male subject as a result of a gunshot wound at a residence on Grove Street in Poultney.  Upon arrival, law enforcement and members of Poultney rescue found Daniel Hein (19), Poultney, deceased of an apparent gunshot wound in a vehicle in a driveway.  The nature of this incident is currently under investigation by members of Troop C BCI and the Major Crime Unit.  The crime scene search team has been activated to process the scene. 

There is no further update at this time, additional updates will be released as the investigation progresses.
