VIOLATION:  Arrest on warrant

 

ACCUSED:  Eugene R. Eldredge                                         

AGE:  80

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE:  Pownal, VT

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On 12/16/16 at approximately 1010 hours,  police conducted a motor vehicle stop on US RT 7 in Pownal, next to the Pownal racetrack.  Police stopped Eugene R. Eldredge for failing to stop at a stop sign.  Eldredge was driving a 1999 Dodge truck.  A record check of Eldredge determined there was an arrest warrant out for him.  Eldredge previously failed to appear at an arraignment, for a charge of leaving the scene on an accident.  Eldredge was taken into custody and transported to the Shaftsbury barracks for processing.   Eldredge was released on conditions of release, which include a court appearance on 12/19/16.
