SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 12/20/16, at approximately 0838 hours, Troopers from the Vermont State Police barracks in Rutland responded to a two vehicle crash on Vermont Route 100 in the Town of Killington.  Investigation revealed, Craig Wilson was traveling north on Vermont Route 100, in his 2005 Honda Accord at a reported speed of 50 miles per hour.  Wilson was rounding a sharp curve in the roadway when he lost control of his vehicle on the ice covered roadway.  Wilson skidded across the southbound travel lane and where he struck a guardrail and the 2012 Chevrolet Silverado, being operated by Michael Huyler.  After colliding with Huyler, Wilson skid across the northbound travel lane and came to a position of uncontrolled rest against a second guardrail, off the east side of the roadway.  Wilson and Huyler were both found to be wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash and there were no reported injuries.  Wilson's vehicle sustained a significant amount of damage to the entire driver's side and front passenger side.  Huyler's vehicle sustained a moderate amount of impact damage to the front driver's side.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Killington Fire Department and Killington Rescue.
