VIOLATION: 1st Degree Domestic Assault, Unlawful Restraint, Sexual Assault.

 

ACCUSED:  Jamie Kogut                                               

AGE: 41 Years of Age

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Readsboro Vermont

 

VICTIM: (The Vermont State Police does not release the names of victims of

sexual assault or domestic violence.)

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On November 30, 2016 at approximately 1911 hours, Troopers of the Vermont State Police Responded to Route 100 in Readsboro for a family fight.

 

Upon arrival, an investigation ensued. It was found that Jamie Kogut had forced himself sexually upon the victim and later, grabbed the victim by her neck during an argument, restricting the victim's airway.

 

Jamie Kogut was arrested and held without bail until he appears in the Bennington County District Court, Criminal Division on December 1st, 2016 at 1230 hours for the offenses of 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic assault, Unlawful Restraint, and Sexual Assault. .
