SUMMARY OF CRASH:

Troopers from the New Haven Barracks responded to single vehicle crash on Monkton Rd in the town of Ferrisburgh.   Investigation indicated Hunter Smith, the operator of a Subaru, Forester was traveling west when he lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve and down grade near the Dean Rd intersection.  Smith struck the guardrail on the south side of the roadway ricocheted off the guardrail then exited the north side of the road.  Smith then traveled down and embankment and came to a position of rest in a section of woods adjacent to the roadway.  Smith was not injured as a result of the crash.

Weather and road conditions were contributing factors to this accident.
