ACCUSED: Christopher M. Lovelette

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On December 3, 2016 at approximately 0005 hours, troopers from the Vermont State Police –Rutland Barracks stopped a vehicle on US Route 7 near Thomas Dairy in Rutland Town for a motor vehicle violation. The operator, Christopher M. Lovelette, displayed signs of alcohol impairment. It was also determined Lovelette’s privilege to operator a motor vehicle was suspended for a prior DUI conviction. Lovelette was screened for DUI and provided a preliminary sample of his breath, resulting in a .113 BrAC. Lovelette was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in Rutland Town.

 

Lovelette was processed for DUI and released to a sober party. He was cited to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division on December 19, 2016 at 0830 hours. Lovelette was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was issued a civil ticket for marijuana possession. A passenger in the vehicle was also issued a notice of violation for having consumed alcohol under the age of twenty one.
