SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 12/13/16, at approximately 12:29 PM, a member of the Vermont State Police Westminster Barracks, responded to a single vehicle crash on Brook Road in the Town of Putney. Vehicle 1 was on its roof off the roadway in a brook. Investigation revealed that Samuel L. Berlow, 54, was the operator of vehicle 1, and was traveling west on Brook Road when he came across a sharp corner.  There was a sand truck traveling east, Berlow attempted to avoid colliding with the truck by pressing on his brakes. As a result, vehicle 1 slid off the snow/ice patch covered gravel road, crashing down into a brook, landing on its roof. . 

Putney Fire Department assisted at the scene and vehicle 1 was towed by Rod’s towing.
