SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On Monday, December 12, 2016 at approximately 1333 hours, the Vermont State Police were notified of a two vehicle crash on Middle Road in the Town of Clarendon. Troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded and located the crash at the intersection of Alfrecha Road.

 

Preliminary investigation revealed that Joseph Aiken (operator #1) was operating his tractor trailer unit, traveling south on Middle Road. April Page (operator #2) was operating her vehicle traveling east on Alfrecha Road. As Aiken approached the intersection of Alfrecha Road, Aiken failed to stop at the stop sign and continued through the intersection subsequently striking Page in the rear driver’s side portion of her vehicle.

 

Vehicle #1 sustained minor front end, bumper and grill contact damage. Vehicle #2 sustained minor rear end and driver’s side rear quarter panel contact damage. Both vehicles were able to drive away from the scene under their own power.

 

Aiken was found at fault for the crash and was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint.
