SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On December 18, 2016 troopers from the Vermont State Police –Rutland Barracks were participating in patrols throughout the area to detect impaired drivers under Operation C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) Lifesaver Weekend. At approximately 0033 hours, troopers stopped a vehicle on Killington Road in the Town of Killington for a traffic violation. The operator was identified as Andrew R. Lezzer. He displayed signs of impairment and was screened for DUI. Lezzer submitted to a preliminary breath test resulting in a .132 BrAC. He was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in Rutland Town.

 

Lezzer was processed for DUI and later released to a sober party. He is scheduled to appear at Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division on January 3, 2016 at 1230 hours to answer to the charge of DUI #2.
