SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at approximately 1551 hours, the Vermont State Police were notified of a single vehicle crash on VT Route 103 in the Town of Mt. Holly. Troopers from the Rutland Barracks responded and located the crash at the intersection of North Bowlsville Road.

Preliminary investigation revealed that Sucha Virk was operating his tractor trailer unit, traveling north on VT Route 103 when he lost control of the vehicle. The tractor trailer came to rest in the Mill River, adjacent to VT Route 103 in Mount Holly. The crash is still being investigated. The operator was transported by Regional Ambulance to Rutland Regional Medical Center for possible injuries.

Assistance was provided on scene by Department of Motor Vehicles, Vermont State Hazmat Team, Shrewsbury Fire Department, Regional Ambulance, and Mount Holly Fire Department.

The vehicle will be removed from the river throughout the night by Earle’s Towing. We advise any motorists traveling on VT Route 103 throughout the night to use caution and expect delays due to the removal of the vehicle.
