SUMMARY OF CRASH: On December 24, 2016 at approximately 1115 hours VSP Williston Troopers responded to the report of a three vehicle motor vehicle collision on Interstate 89 in Williston at the exit 12 southbound off ramp. Through investigation, it was found that Operator#1, Sara J. Tucker of Barre, VT failed to maintain control of her vehicle and collided with vehicle#2, a 2015 Nissan Rogue which was stopped on the off ramp waiting to make a left hand turn onto St. George Road. As a result of the initial collision, vehicle#2 was forced into vehicle#3, a 2016 GMC Acadia. There were no incapacitating injuries and impairment was not a contributing factor.

It was found that Tucker was civilly suspended in the state of Vermont for no insurance. Tucker was subsequently issued VCVC's for: Title 23 VSA Section 1081(a) failure to maintain control, Title 23 VSA Section 800(a) no insurance, and Title 23 VSA Section 676 operation after suspension #2 or more. Tucker's civil tickets totaled $631. 6 points will be assessed to Tucker's license if she is convicted of the above tickets. Williston Fire and rescue assisted at the scene of the collision.
