SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 12/19/2019 at approximately 1:46 pm, a member of the Vermont State Police, Westminster Station, responded to VT RT 9 the Town of Marlboro for a reported motor vehicle crash.  Investigation revealed that a vehicle being driven by Mr. Trent Fulton, 28 of Blacksburg, VA, was traveling westbound on VT RT 9 when he stopped at South Road while waiting for traveling eastbound traffic to clear so he could turn left onto South Road.  A vehicle being operated by Mr. Robert Mayle, 53 of Whitingham, was traveling westbound at approximately 50 MPH when he noticed Mr. Fulton’s vehicle stopped in the roadway.  Mr. Mayle attempted to stop and subsequently skidded into the back of Mr. Fulton’s vehicle.  Mr. Mayle indicated that he was unable to see that Mr. Fulton’s car has stopped due to the solar glare.  Both Mr. Mayle’s and Mr. Fulton’s vehicles were towed from the scene by Marlboro Collison of Marlboro.  No injuries were sustained in this crash.
