SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On 12/15/2016 at approximately 8:55 am, members of the Vermont State Police, Westminster Station responded to VT RT 9 in the Town of Marlboro for a reported single vehicle rollover crash. 

 

Investigation found that a vehicle being operated by Ms. Jennifer Fitzgerald, 69 of Wilmington, was headed eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle.   Ms. Fitzgerald advised that she encountered “black ice” while attempting to regain control of her vehicle it ended up sliding off the roadway.  Ms. Fitzgerald’s vehicle stuck an earthen embankment on the edge of roadway, which caused her vehicle to rollover twice.  

 

Ms. Fitzgerald sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital by the Deerfield Ambulance Service.  Ms. Fitzgerald’s vehicle was towed by Marlboro Towing of Marlboro.
