SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On 12/27/2016 at approximately 5:49 pm, a member of the Vermont State Police stopped a vehicle traveling southbound on Interstate 91 in Brattleboro for a moving violation.  The operator, Mr. Geoffrey Jon Smith, 55 of Grafton, VT, was found to have consumed marijuana and was administered field sobriety exercises.  Mr. Smith was subsequently arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI-D) and processed at the Vermont State Police barracks in Westminster.  Mr. Smith was released on a citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division for arraignment on February 28, 2017 at 8:00 am.
