SUMMARY OF CRASH: On December 29, 2016, at approximately 10:45 A.M. Troopers with the Vermont State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on Windham Hill Road in Townshend. Upon arrival Troopers spoke with the operator, Jason Aponte, 32, of Merrimack, New Hampshire. It was found that Aponte was travelling south on Windham Hill Road in his work vehicle, a 2013, RAM, van. Aponte left the roadway and struck a culvert. Aponte was not injured during the crash. Scott Brooks Towing removed the vehicle. The Townshend Fire Department and Rescue Inc also assisted at the scene. Speed was determined to be a contributing factor in this crash.
