SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On December 19, 2016, at approximately 9:28 A.M., the Vermont State Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Vermont Route 30 south in the Town of Townshend. Investigation revealed that the operator, Morgan Powers, had an active arrest warrant out of Bennington County, Vermont for petit larceny. Powers was arrested and transported to the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division in Brattleboro, where he appeared in front of a judge and was released on conditions. Powers was ordered to appear in Bennington County Superior Court Criminal Division at a later date.
