SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On December 22, 2016 at approximately 0934 hours Troopers from the New Haven Barracks responded to the report of a single car motor vehicle crash in Shoreham along VT Route 74. Initial reports indicated that the vehicle had overturned and had fallen down an embankment.

Upon further investigation it was determined that the operator, Angel Tracey had been traveling eastbound on VT Route 74 towards Middlebury at approximately 20 MPH. Statements from the operator and passenger indicated that Tracey attempted to navigate a slight left curve in the roadway. It was at this point that the motor vehicle lost traction and began sliding off the roadway. After leaving the roadway the motor vehicle overturned, and slid down an embankment. As a precaution the operator and a passenger were transported to Porter Hospital for evaluation.
