Vermont State Police Search and Rescue Personnel have searched the immediate area surrounding the Waterbury Reservoir on Little River Road. This search was conducted with the assistance from New England K9, Vermont Fish and Wildlife, Stowe Mountain Rescue, Vermont K9 SAR, Upper Valley and Camel’s Hump Backcountry teams. These teams conducted extensive searches for three days and covered a large area of rough wooded terrain. As of today, the search has been suspended in this area pending more information. State Police detectives continue to work the investigation with the assistance family members, and ask any member of the public with any information regarding Burke’s whereabouts to contact the nearest State Police Barracks.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:
The Vermont State Police - Williston is requesting the public's assistance in
locating 44-year-old Daniel Burke from Bolton. The family of Burke contacted the
Vermont State Police as Burke has not been in contact with them since Wednesday,
December 21, 2016. Burke is driving a 2004 green Jeep Cherokee, Vermont
registration GBH704, and was last believed to be going to the Waterbury area.
Family tell police it is unusual for Burke to not be in contact with them.
