SUMMARY OF CRASH:

On 12/21/16 at approximately 1805 hours, Vermont State Troopers were dispatched
to a single vehicle crash on VT RT 8 in the Town of Readsboro. It was reported
the vehicle had rolled over during the crash.

Troopers arrived on scene and began investigating the incident. The operator,
John Carrington, had suffered minor cuts and bumps, however was otherwise
uninjured. While investigating the crash, Troopers suspected Carrington of being
under the influence of intoxicating liquor. Carrington was asked to perform
Field Sobriety Exercises, during which Carrington showed signs of impairment.
Carrington provided a roadside preliminary breath test which showed a .141% BAC
for Carrington. Carrington was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and
transported the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Field Station for further tests.
Carrington was later released with a citation to appear in Bennington County
Superior Court, Criminal Division to answer to the charge of DUI.
