Death Investigation - Mt Tabor

On 12/11/16 at approximately 1916 hours, VSP troopers from Rutland barracks responded to a 911 call from Peggy Shores, (51) of 602 Brooklyn road in the town of Mount Tabor for a report of an accidental shooting at a residence at this location.   Shores reported that her husband, David Shores Sr (54) had fallen and accidentally shot himself. 

Upon arrival, troopers and Manchester rescue found David Shores Sr deceased within the residence of an apparent gunshot wound.  

Investigation is continuing by members of C troop BCI detectives and the major crime unit.  The body of David Shores Sr will be sent to the office of the chief medical examiner for autopsy to determine cause and manner of death in conjunction with the investigation.
