SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

Preliminary investigation revealed that Jan Toczylowski was operating his vehicle, traveling north on Killington Road in the outside lane, at approximately 35 mph. Cassandra A. Simpson was operating her vehicle, also traveling north on Killington Road in the inside lane, at approximately 30 mph. Toczylowski began to merge into the inside lane and struck the front passenger side of Simpson’s vehicle.

The operator of vehicle #2 was evaluated on scene by Killington Fire and Rescue and Regional Ambulance and transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center. There were no other injuries as a result of the crash.

 

Vehicle #1 sustained severe contact damage to the front and rear driver’s side doors. Vehicle #2 sustained minor contact damage to the passenger side headlight and bumper. Both vehicles were able to drive from the scene under their own power.

 

Two Vermont Civil Violation Complaints were issued to operator #1.
