ACCUSED: Benjamin Decker                                             

AGE: 21

CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: St. Johnsbury, VT.

 

 

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

 

On the evening of 11-26-16, a concerned citizen contacted State Police to report an impaired operator who was at a convenience store in Lyndonville, VT. State Police located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Mooney Road and Hospital Drive in the town of St. Johnsbury, VT. State Police made contact with the operator who was identified as Decker (21). Investigation revealed that Decker was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Decker refused to provide a preliminary sample of his breath roadside. Subsequently, Decker was taken into custody and processed for DUI. Decker was issued a citation to appear in Caledonia Criminal Court on 12-12-16 at 0830 hours. Decker was released to a sober adult.
