SUMMARY OF CRASH:

 

On 11-4-16 Troopers based out of the Rutland Barracks along with the Pittsford

Police Department responded to the intersection of VT Route 3 and US Route 7 in

the town of Pittsford.  It was reported that a vehicle had struck a pole in the

area, and as a result the pole and wires were in the travel portion of US Route

7. 

 

Upon arrival evidence revealed that a vehicle had left the scene of the crash

traveling north on US Route 7.  Evidence also indicated that the vehicle in

question may be a Toyota.  Members of the Brandon Police Department were able to

locate a vehicle on US Route 7 in the area of the Otter Valley High School.  The

vehicle had sustained significant contact damage to its front end.  The operator

was identified as a Jeffrey Guevin. 

 

Shortly after, Troopers arrived on scene and spoke with Guevin about the crash.

Further investigation revealed that Guevin was operating under the influence of

alcohol, and had left the scene of the crash.  Guevin was transported to the

Rutland State Police Barracks, where he was processed for DUI.  Guevin was

issued a citation to appear in Rutland Criminal Court to face the charge of DUI

and leaving the scene of an accident.
