SUMMARY OF INCIDENT:

On November 27, 2016 at approximately 1230 hours, State Police received a call about a burglary that occurred on the East Richford Slide Rd. Amanda Pecor called to advise that upon returning home last night, her front door had been kicked open, and multiple items were missing. Among the missing items was a large 55" flat screen television and a snowmobile helmet.

A witness advised that they had seen a vehicle belonging to Michael Cruz leaving the area of the residence, and could identify his girlfriend, Felicia Hanvey, as being the passenger. State Police then went to their residence in East Fairfield to speak with them about the incident.

While at the residence, nobody would answer the door, but a State Trooper on scene was able to see a large flat screen television on the floor in the kitchen. The Trooper then went back to the front door to continue knocking, and upon going back to the other side, noticed the television was now gone. State Police could see individuals inside, but they would not come to the door.

The residence was seized and a search warrant was obtained by the State Police. When the warrant was executed, the stolen television was located in the laundry room hidden under a pile of clothes. The helmet was located in the same room. They were seized as evidence at that time.

Both Hanvey and Cruz were taken into custody at the residence and transported to the Saint Albans barracks for processing. They were subsequently lodged for lack of $2500 bail to answer to the charge of burglary.
