DAMAGE TO VEHICLE #1:  front end, roof, sides from roll over crash

INJURIES:  2 passengers with minor injuries transported to DHMC

HOSPITAL: Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center

 

SUMMARY OF CRASH: Operator #1 ZHU indicated he was traveling north bound at a speed of approximately 60 miles per hour when he attempted to pass a slower traveling vehicle.  ZHU said when he pulled into the passing lane he lost control of the passenger van and the vehicle entered the median, which resulted in the vehicle rolling over coming to rest on the roof.  The vehicle had to be removed from the scene by a tow truck.  The passengers were transported off the interstate by Sharon Fire Department and the tow company.  The injured passengers were transported to the Hospital by the Hartford Ambulance.  Speed and road conditions were both determined to be contributing factors in this crash.
